How to create a document Collection
Create a new collection in four steps: information, objectives, resources (form and contract) and activation.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
You can create a new collection by linking a form, a contract or both. Creation has four steps.
Where to find it: Pre-onboarding → Collections → Create a collection
Before you start
- Create the form and/or contract to link. The collection picks them from the ones that already exist.
- For the form-and-contract objective you need a form linked to a contract.
Steps
- Go to Pre-onboarding → Collections.
- Click Create a collection.
- In the first step (Info), enter the initial information, including the Collection name.
- In Objectives, choose what you want to collect: Form completion, Contract signing or Form completion and contract signing.
- In Resources, select the form, the contract or the form with a linked contract. You can search for them by name.
- In Activation, choose whether and when the collection starts on its own. See How to start a collection automatically (activation).
- Click Launch collection.

Good to know
- With Form completion and contract signing, the candidate fills in the form first. Then they receive the contract with the data already filled in.
- After launching you'll see the message Collection launched!. Collections start based on the activation settings.
- A collection that hasn't been launched yet stays in Draft status.
- You can change the name, agent and language later too, from the collection's Settings tab.
Common issues
I can't find my form or contract in the list. You need to create it first. Go to Pre-onboarding → Forms or Pre-onboarding → Contracts, complete it and go back to the collection. Check that it's in Ready status.
With the form-and-contract objective I don't see my form. In this case only forms with a linked contract appear.
