Import candidates: upload CVs or a CSV file
How to add candidates to a campaign by uploading their CVs (also in a zip) or a CSV file.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
Where to find it: Campaigns → open the campaign → Import candidates button at the top right.

Upload CVs
Use this option when you have the candidates' CVs: Klaaryo extracts the data from the files, creates the candidates and starts the campaign automatically.
- Choose Upload CVs.
- Drag the files into the box or click Select file. Accepted formats are .pdf, .doc, .docx and .zip.
- You can select up to 10 files at once. For larger volumes, upload a zip with up to 200 CVs.
- When the upload shows Completed, click Start import.

Import data only (CSV)
Use this option if you already have the candidates' data in a file with structured columns (name, phone and so on). See the existing article "Import candidates from a campaign" for the template and field mapping.
Import history
From the CV import history link you can check past imports and their outcome: for each CV you see whether the candidate was Created, Duplicate or Discarded.
Look for a candidate who's already there
Before importing, you can check whether the candidate is already in Klaaryo: in the Talent pool, search by name and filter by campaign.

Common issues
- I upload the CVs and get an error. Check the format (only pdf, doc, docx or zip) and the number of files: over 10, use a zip.
- The imported candidate doesn't get the message. Check the CV: if it has no phone number, the candidate is discarded and can't be contacted on WhatsApp. You can see this in the CV import history.
