What a campaign is and how it differs from a job role
What a campaign is for, what it contains, its statuses and the difference from job roles.

A campaign is an open search in Klaaryo. It collects the candidates, manages the conversations with the agent and organizes the interviews for that position.
Where to find it: sidebar → Recruiting → Campaigns
Job role and campaign: the difference
The job role is the template. The campaign is the actual search.
| Job role | Campaign | |
|---|---|---|
| What it's for | Defines questions, filters, criteria and FAQs once | Applies the job role to a real position |
| When you use it | When you prepare a process to reuse | Every time you open a search |
| FAQs | Apply to all linked campaigns | Apply only to that campaign |
| Example | Addetto/a vendite | Addetto/a vendite – Roma, Addetto/a vendite – Milano |
A campaign inherits questions and criteria from the job role. You can customize it (questions, FAQs, locations) without changing the job role.
The campaign list

- At the top you'll find Manage collaborators, Update Hiring Need and New campaign.
- The status filters show how many campaigns are in each one: All, Active, Draft, Paused, Archived.
- To find a campaign, use Search by name (shortcut ⌘+F).
Next to the search there are two filters: Location and Hiring manager. Choose "No location" or "No hiring manager" to find campaigns that are missing an assignment. The status filter counts follow the filters you chose. - Columns: Campaign name, Creation Date, Contacted, Replied, Booked interviews, Show rate.
- The megaphone icon next to the name means the campaign is distributed on job boards.
What a campaign contains
When you open a campaign, at the top you'll find the name, the status, the collaborators, the Import candidates button and the … menu. Below are the tabs:
- Candidates: the list of candidates with their evaluation outcome and status. See How to manage a campaign's candidates.
- Job ad (only with the ATS module): the job ad details, the Application form and the Publication on job boards.
- Settings: the Setup, Information, Conversation, Stores you are hiring for, Additional context, Interview Invitation Mode and Linked collection blocks. See How to change a campaign's settings.
- Interviews: appears when the campaign has interviews. Here you manage the interview managers and see the scheduled sessions.
Campaign statuses
- Draft: the campaign hasn't been launched yet.
- Active: the agent contacts candidates and accepts new applications.
- Paused: ongoing conversations are completed, but no new ones start. See Pause a campaign.
- Archived: the search is closed. The data stays available.
Good to know
- Each campaign's … menu contains Collaborators, Edit, Test the conversation, Pause, Archive, Delete. See What you can do from a campaign's menu.
- Start from a job role when you can: you save time and evaluate candidates with the same criteria.
- Use campaign FAQs (Additional context block) for information about a single location, like hours or parking.
- Archive closed campaigns to keep the list clean.
Common issues
How do I reactivate or pause a campaign? From the campaign's … menu. See Pause a campaign.
I changed the job role but the campaign still asks the old questions. Changes to the job role don't apply to campaigns already created. Edit the questions in the campaign's Settings tab → Conversation.
I can't find a campaign. Check the status filter at the top (e.g. it's in Draft or Archived) and use Search by name. If you still can't see it, ask to be added to the Collaborators.
