How to set up a campaign's interviews
Choosing how candidates are invited to the interview (automatic, manual, no interviews) and managing the campaign's interview managers.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
For each campaign you choose how to invite suitable candidates to the interview and who runs the interviews. Candidates book in the interview managers' slots.
Where to find it: Campaigns → open the campaign → Settings tab → Interview Invitation Mode block. The interview managers are in the campaign's Interviews tab.
The invitation modes
- Automatic: the agent invites matching candidates to book an interview.
- Manual: you (or the interview manager) invite the candidates you're interested in. Suitable candidates go to the pending invitation requests. See How to handle pending invitation requests.
- No interviews: the agent completes the evaluations without offering an interview. You can turn on interviews later too.
To decide which one to choose, see Manual or automatic interview invitation: what's the difference.
Steps
- Open the campaign and go to the Settings tab.
- In the Interview Invitation Mode block, click Edit.
- Choose Automatic or Manual.
- Click Save.

To remove interviews from a campaign that has them, use Disable interviews and confirm with Yes, disable interviews.
Interview managers
You manage the campaign's interview managers in the Interviews tab, in the Manage interview manager panel. On the right you see the Scheduled interview sessions.
- Add Manager: adds an interview manager to the campaign.
- Replace Manager: hands the campaign over to another interview manager. See the steps below.
- Remove Manager: removes the interview manager. Their scheduled interviews are canceled and the candidates are informed; anyone already invited gets a message within 24 hours saying there are no more slots. The agent, however, keeps putting candidates on hold for an invitation: if you don't want that, turn off the campaign's interviews.
For each interview manager the app shows which of the campaign's locations they can run interviews at:
- Manager of all stores: can choose all of the campaign's locations as the interview place.
- Partial manager: is responsible for only some of the campaign's locations.
- Manager of no store: isn't responsible for any of the campaign's locations, so they can't choose them for interviews.
Steps: replace an interview manager
Use it when the interview manager goes on vacation, changes store or leaves the company.
- Open the campaign and go to the Interviews tab.
- On the interview manager's card, click Replace Manager.
- In Also assign other campaigns managed by …, choose whether to make the same replacement in their other campaigns too.
- In Who will conduct the interview?, choose I will do it or Assign to a colleague. The new interview manager receives interview notifications and reminders on WhatsApp.
- Decide what to do with the interviews already scheduled with Cancel existing interviews:
- on: all interviews and sessions already scheduled in the campaigns involved are canceled before the replacement;
- off: the new interview manager takes over the interviews and sessions already scheduled.
- Click Save.

If you use interview manager groups in the job role, see How to assign the right interview managers automatically with the group in the job role.
Good to know
- With several interview managers, the candidate sees everyone's slots and chooses.
- When you replace an interview manager, you choose whether the new one takes over the interviews already scheduled or whether to cancel them.
- The campaign's location appears in the interview's calendar event.
- Booking window, notice and rescheduling: see Interview rules: booking window, rescheduling and confirmations.
- Notifications to the interview manager: see Choose how to receive interview notifications.
- Sessions with many candidates: see Group sessions of up to 250 candidates.
Common issues
The interview manager can't create a session and sees "No assigned campaign". They aren't the interview manager of any active campaign: assign them to the campaign. If the campaign is paused, reactivate it from the … menu with Resume campaign.
I invited the candidate but they can't see the slots. See I invited the candidate but they can't see the slots.
Manual or automatic invitation: which one should I choose? Automatic if you want speed. Manual if the interview manager wants to see the profile before the interview.
The interview manager can't see the campaigns. See The interview manager can't log in or can't see their campaigns.
The interview manager is going on vacation or changing store: who runs their interviews? Use Replace Manager in the campaign's Interviews tab. With Cancel existing interviews off, the interviews already scheduled move to the colleague.
