Map Klaaryo statuses to ATS statuses
Connect each Klaaryo status to a status in your ATS, refresh the list of statuses and add the missing ones by hand.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
Every candidate in Klaaryo has a status, for example Contacted or Good fit. With the mapping you connect each Klaaryo status to the matching status in your ATS. When the agent moves a candidate forward, Klaaryo automatically updates the status in the ATS too.
Where to find it: Settings → Integrations → ATS → gear icon → Status mapping

Steps
- In the KLAARYO STATUS column, find the status to connect.
- In the ATS STATUS column, open the menu and choose the status in your ATS.
- Repeat for the statuses you need.
- Click Save changes.
The new mapping applies from that moment: candidates who have already changed status aren't updated retroactively.
Klaaryo statuses
The statuses follow the candidate's journey:
- contact: To contact, Contacted, Running, Unresponsive, Expired;
- evaluation: Good fit, Low fit, Medium fit, High fit, Not a fit, Not interested;
- interview: Interview Proposed, Interview booked, Interview cancelled, Interview rescheduled, Interview completed, No show, Fit expired;
- outcome: Interview - fit, Interview - not a fit, To be hired, Offer proposed, Offer declined, Hired.
See Candidate statuses: what they mean and how to correct them.
If an ATS status doesn't show up
- Click Refresh statuses: Klaaryo reads the list of statuses from the ATS again.
- If it's still not there, click Manage statuses at the bottom of the section (only for ATSs that support it).
- In Name of the new ATS status, type the status exactly as it's written in your ATS, including capital letters, and click +.
- Click Confirm. The status appears in the menus of the ATS STATUS column.

Some ATSs don't expose the full list of their statuses: in these cases you type them in by hand.
Good to know
- An Unmapped Klaaryo status isn't written to the ATS: in the ATS the candidate stays at the last mapped status.
- You can connect the same ATS status to more than one Klaaryo status. For example, "Interview completed" in the ATS for both Interview completed and Interview - fit.
- The first status is written to the ATS based on the mapping, like any other. If you've also mapped the initial statuses (for example Contacted), the ATS is updated as soon as the conversation starts.
Common issues
The candidate moved forward in Klaaryo, but the status doesn't change in the ATS. The Klaaryo status they're in is Unmapped. Connect it to an ATS status and save.
I created a new status in the ATS but can't find it in the menu. Click Refresh statuses. If it doesn't show up, add it with Manage statuses. With some ATSs the new status can take a little while to appear.
