Which applications to import: period, start date and reference date

Import only recent applications, from a certain date, and choose which ATS date counts as the application date.

Updated on Oct 12, 2026

When you connect the ATS you don't need to import the whole history. With these settings you decide from when applications come in.

Where to find it: Settings → Integrations → ATS → gear icon → Settings → Application import

The application import settings

The fields

FieldWhat it does
Only sync applications from the lastImports only applications from the last N Hours, Days or Weeks
Import start dateCandidates who applied before this date are ignored
Application date referenceWhich ATS date to use as the application date: Creation date, Update date or Change date

The fields you see depend on the ATS.

Steps

  1. Set the period, for example 4 Weeks.
  2. If you need to, set the Import start date or the Application date reference.
  3. Click Save changes.

How they combine

If you set both the period and the start date, the stricter limit applies. Example: last 52 weeks and start date 09/01/2026 → only applications from September 1 come in.

Which reference to choose

  • Creation date: for ATSs where every application is a new record.
  • Update date or Change date: for ATSs where the candidate is unique and their profile is updated with every new application. This way Klaaryo also takes into account people who applied again.

Good to know

  • Making the period longer brings in older applications, which the agent will contact as new. Do it only if you really want to contact them again.

Common issues

I connected the ATS but existing candidates don't come in. They're outside the period or before the start date. Widen the period, save and use Resync now on the candidate sync.

Candidates who applied months ago are coming in. The reference is set to the update or change date and their profile in the ATS was updated recently. Consider Creation date or an Import start date.
