What a job role is in Klaaryo
A job role groups the FAQs, questions, filters and criteria for a position, and you reuse it across several campaigns.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
A job role is the screening template for a position: you set it up once and link it to all the campaigns you need.
Where to find it: Recruiting → Job roles
What a job role contains
- Details: the Role name and the basic information.
- Role FAQ: the answers the agent gives to typical questions about that position.
- Questions: the questions the agent asks the candidate, including conditional ones.
- Evaluation: the Filters (minimum requirements) and the Evaluation criteria (weighted parameters), with the Minimum passing score.
- Connected collection: the document collection to use in the job role's new campaigns.
- Campaigns: the campaigns linked to the job role.
Example: you create the job role Addetto/a sala. All linked campaigns use the same questions and the same evaluation model.

Job role statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | The job role isn't active yet. To use it in campaigns, click Activate. |
| Active | You can link it to one or more campaigns. |
| Archived | You can no longer choose it for new campaigns or edit it. Campaigns that use it keep using it. |
Good to know
- You can edit a job role even when it's Active.
- Changes don't apply on their own to campaigns that already exist. When you edit a job role, the app reminds you with the notice Changes to a role will NOT automatically apply to already created campaigns.
- To apply them, choose the campaigns after saving. See How to link a job role to a campaign.
- Give job roles generic, clear names (e.g. Cameriere, Magazziniere). Add the city only if the process really changes by location.
- For the location and company name in questions, use the variables $LOCATION and $COMPANY, not separate job roles.
Common issues
I edited the job role but the campaigns still ask the old questions. Changes don't carry over automatically to campaigns that already exist. After saving, select the campaigns to apply them to.
I need to create a job role similar to an existing one. Do I start from scratch? No. Click … on the job role card and then Duplicate.
I can't find the job role when I create the campaign. Check its status. Only Active job roles can be linked.
