How to assign the right interview managers automatically with the group in the job role
Link a group of hiring managers to a job role, so campaigns created by the ATS only get the relevant interview managers for the location.

You can link a group of hiring managers to a job role. Automatically created campaigns only get the location's interview managers who are in the group.
Where to find it: Recruiting → Job roles → open the job role → Details step → Assign the Hiring Manager group
Before you start
- The groups must already exist. You create them in Settings → Organization → Staff, Groups tab. See How to manage interview manager groups.
- It only works with campaigns created automatically by an ATS integration.
Steps
- Go to Recruiting → Job roles.
- Create a job role or open the one to edit.
- In Assign the Hiring Manager group, choose the group.
- Save.
How it works
In the app, the field says: If present, it will be used in case of ambiguity when choosing the interview manager. In practice, the assignment only kicks in if:
- the campaign is created automatically by the integration;
- the integration data doesn't already specify the hiring manager.
Without a group, the campaign gets all the location's hiring managers. With the group, it only gets those from the location and the group.
Example: in Rome there are Dining room and Kitchen managers. The Addetto/a sala campaign only goes to the Dining room group.
Good to know
- You can change the job role's group whenever you want.
- At the next sync, the interview managers of the job role's campaigns align with the new group, including campaigns already open. You don't need to do anything else.
- If you change a campaign's interview manager by hand with Replace Manager (the campaign's Interviews tab), you choose whether to move interviews already booked to the new interview manager or cancel them.
- For details on your integration, see the section for your ATS.
Common issues
An interview manager gets notifications for campaigns that aren't theirs. Check the group in the job role and which groups the interview manager belongs to in Staff → Groups.
The campaign has the wrong hiring manager even though the group is right. The ATS has probably already sent the hiring manager's name. In that case the group isn't used.
