How to receive Indeed applications in Klaaryo

If you post job ads directly on Indeed, Indeed can send every application with the CV to Klaaryo by email. You set it up once on your Indeed account and then on each job ad.

If you post job ads directly on Indeed, you can have the applications come into Klaaryo by email. Indeed sends each application, with the CV attached, to a dedicated Klaaryo email address. From there the application enters the campaign and the agent contacts the candidate on WhatsApp.

Who this article is for

Where to find it: in your Indeed employer account. Indeed's labels can change over time (labels may differ on Indeed).

Before you start

  • You need access to the Indeed employer account you use to post your job ads.
  • The Klaaryo team gives you the dedicated email address. There is only one for your company and you use it on all job ads.

Step 1: receive all applications with the CV (one time only)

  1. Log in to your Indeed employer account.
  2. Click your email address in the top right and choose Company settings.
  3. Open the Communication tab.
  4. In the New candidate emails box, click Manage candidate emails.
  5. Select All applications, not "Only candidates who match the job's criteria".
  6. Check Attach candidate resumes.
  7. Click Save.

Step 2: connect each job ad to Klaaryo

  1. On Indeed, open Jobs.
  2. Click ⋮ next to the job ad and choose Edit.
  3. Scroll down to the Settings section. On the Application updates row, click the pencil.
  4. In the Edit job window, click Add email and enter the dedicated Klaaryo address. You can leave any emails already there.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
  7. Repeat for every job ad, including the ones you post in the future.

From now on, every application received on that job ad comes into Klaaryo automatically.

Good to know

  • You no longer need to check candidates on Indeed. On Indeed you can still look at the job ad's views and clicks.
  • Step 2 has to be done on every new job ad. A job ad without the Klaaryo address doesn't send the applications.
  • Alternatively, you can put the link to the position on your Klaaryo career page in the job ad: you find it with Position link QR code, on the position page. It also works on other job sites, on your company website or with a QR code. See Career page, QR code and application form.

Common issues

Indeed candidates don't come into Klaaryo. Check, in this order:

  1. On Indeed, in Manage candidate emails, All applications is selected and Attach candidate resumes is checked.
  2. In the job ad, on the Application updates row, the Klaaryo email address is there and spelled correctly.
  3. The campaign in Klaaryo is Active.
  4. In the campaign, Settings tab → Setup, Automatic pre-screening is on. If it's off, applications are collected but the agent doesn't write.

If everything is correct, open a request from the support chat with the job ad name and an example candidate.

The candidate came in but stays "To contact". Usually they still have an open conversation in another campaign: the agent talks to a candidate on one campaign at a time. Find them in the Inbox and look at the History tab. If it's urgent, stop the evaluation in progress and start this one next. See Candidates who don't come in or stay "To contact".
