How to handle pending invitation requests
With manual invitations, candidates who pass the assessment wait here for your decision: Invite or Do not invite.
Updated on Oct 12, 2026
If the campaign uses Manual invitations, candidates who pass the assessment wait for your decision in Pending invitation requests. From here you invite them to book an interview or decide not to invite them.
Where to find it: Interviews → Manage my interviews → Pending requests button at the top. On the interview managers' platform: Home → Pending invitation requests.
Before you start
- You need at least one session with free slots. If there isn't one, create it first. See How to create and manage interview sessions.
Steps
- Open Pending requests. The Pending invitation requests panel opens.
- In the To handle tab you'll find a card for each waiting candidate. The red number shows how many requests are waiting.
- If you want, click View CV.
- Click Invite to send them the invitation to book, or Do not invite.
- Requests you've decided on move to the Handled tab.

What you see on the cards
| Where | What it means |
|---|---|
| To handle → "New application waiting for invitation" | The candidate passed the assessment for the position and is waiting for an interview invitation. |
| Handled → "Rejected on … by …" | Someone chose Do not invite. You see the date and name. |
| "Candidate approved but waiting for invitation" | You approved, but there are no free slots. They'll get the invitation as soon as there are. |
Good to know
- The candidate stays in the To handle tab until someone decides.
- If there are no sessions with free places, approved candidates stay waiting. Create new sessions.
- You can also force the invitation from the candidate's chat: Quick actions → Invite to interview.
- The difference between manual and automatic invitations is in Manual or automatic interview invitation: what's the difference.
Common issues
I clicked Invite but the candidate can't see the slots. Check that there are sessions with free places. See I invited the candidate but they can't see the slots.
The candidate shows as approved but waiting for invitation. There are no free slots. Create a session: the invitation goes out when there are places.
I clicked Do not invite by mistake. Open the candidate's chat and use Quick actions → Invite to interview: it works even after a "Do not invite".
I don't see the Pending requests button. You see it in Manage my interviews, so only if you're an interview manager.
